Project description
In 2005 Siemens Sanayi ve Ticaret A. S – Turkey, as a Main Contractor for the erection of FGD Plant in Maritsa East 3 TPP assigned to EL KONTROL the scope for electrical connection of the FGD Plant to Maritsa East 3 TPP. Order includes also construction of cable trays, laying of cables, construction of lighting installation in FGD Plant, and power supply of 6 kV indoor switchgears.
Activities
- Erection of cable trays from Transformer yard of Maritsa East 3 TPP to FGD Electrical building;
- Laying and connection of power cables between FGD Plant and Maritsa East 3 TPP;
- Erection of cable trays in FGD Plant;
- Laying and connection of power and control cables for electrifying the electrical equipment in FGD Plant;
- Erection of lighting and sockets installation in FGD Plant.
Other
At the end of 2005, the First Stage of the Project was successfully completed with the commissioning of FGD Installation for Block 1 and Block 2 of Maritza East 3 TPP. In September 2006 the FGD Installation for Units 3 and 4 was put into operation, which completed the Project.
