Project description
The site is a 400 KV Substation which is reconstructed by substitution of the existing electrical equipment, and by rehabilitation of the auxiliary power supply switchgear. Order was awarded to EL KONTROL, after winning a public procurement announced by NEK EAD Trafoelektroinvest Enterprise - Sofia.
Activities
- Substitution of 400 kV equipment - dismantle of existing and installation of new equipment: circuit breakers, knife disconnect switches, current transformers, voltage transformers, surge arresters, support insulators;
- Substitution of control cabinets;
- Laying and connection of control cables
- Rehabilitation of 220 kV DС auxiliary power supply switchgear in control building of Maritsa East II Substation;
- Diesel-generator installation;
- Reconstruction of 380 V АС and 220 V DС auxiliary power supply switchgears in 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV switchyards;
- Control tests and commissioning of the installed equipment.
Other
A special feature about realization of this Project are the very short deadlines for completion of the assigned activities. The site was completed in strict compliance with the agreed time-schedules, and the 400 kV switchyard was put into operation in December, 2005.
