Project description
Order is placed by the Client - National Electric Company EAD (NEC). It presents part of an Investment Project for modernization and rehabilitation of the Bulgarian electricity transmission system.
The Project concerns substitution of existing relay protection with modern digital relay protection produced by SIEMENS, in all 220 kV and 400 kV switchgears in the country.
EL KONTROL performs substitution of relay protection equipped switchboards and power panels, in 220 kV and 400 kV Substations on Lot 1 and Lot 3 of NEC, located mainly in Southern Bulgaria:

- Installation and commissioning of differential protection for 220 kV busbars and differential protection for Autotransformer 1 and Autotransformer 2;
- Dismantle, laying and connection of control cables;
- Installation of synchronization system between the clocks built-in the new digital relay protection and those in the existing relay protection;
- DIGSI network between the new relay protection and a local computer;
- Control tests of the installed equipment.
