Project description
In 2012 erection of biomass processing Power Plant ‘Karlovo Biomass’ was launched, near Stroevo Village, Plovdiv District. The investment amounts at 20 mill euro, facilities are situated on 20 acres area, and have 5 MW total power capacity.
Due to changes in the legislative framework for electricity production in 2015, the project has been transformed into two new sites: Karlovo Biomass Stage I, and Biomass Stage II - 2MVA.
Within Stage I EL KONTROL performs electrical and construction works for the erection of a new 20 kV cable line; dismantle of 20 kV overhead line; supply, installation and commissioning of MV electrical equipment and facilities; construction of earthing installation.
Activities
- Construction of 20 kV cable line, 9 km length: excavation, laying of conduits; delivery, pulling and connection of power cables;
- Delivery and installation of 20 kV and 7.2 kV Switchgear (SWG)
- Dismantle of existing 20 kV OHL and construction of new one: tracing of cable line, dismantle of concrete pillars
- Dismantle of steel lattice tower; dismantle of isolator chains, construction of concrete foundation, delivery and erection of pillar, delivery and installation of steel structure, delivery and installation of Al conductor, delivery and installation of strain chains.
- Delivery and installation of 2000 kVA, 20/6,3 kV current transformer and 1000 kVA, 20/0,4 kV current transformer;
- Delivery, laying and connection of MV and LV cables
- Construction of grounding installation
- Electrical tests and commissioning of the installed equipment.
