Reconstruction of input feeder bays and output feeder bays in 6 kV Switchgear in Main Step-down Substation GPP-4

Project envisages modernization of the 6 kV Distribution Switchgear in Main Step-down Substation GPP-4, as well as modernization of the Substations supplied by the 6 kV Switchgear.

The following tasks are subject to implementation within this Project:

- Retrofit of breakers for transformer inputs, retrofit of section bays and output bays in the 6 kV Switchgear;

- Substitution of relay protection for output bays, and of relay protection for bus coupler breakers in the 6 kV Switchgear;

- Substitution of oil voltage measuring transformers with dry transformers in thе 6 kV Switchgear;

- Substitution of relay protection for output bays, and relay protection for bus coupler breakers in Substations;

- Redesign of installation diagrams for control, protection and signalizing of the Substations supplied by the 6 kV Switchgear. The purpose of redesign is a differential protection of feeder cables to be installed, and fast ATS (auto transfer switch) to be organized;

- Elaboration of relay cards for set-up relay protection;

- Construction of fiber-optic connection for the needs of longitudinal differential protection between GPP-4 and the Substations supplied by the 6 kV Switchgear of GPP-4;

Subject to execution within the Project are the following activities:

- Dismantle of existing equipment and constructions;

- Delivery and installing 6 kV electrical equipment: support isolators, vacuum circuit breakers, load breakers, voltage measuring transformers, current measuring transformers, surge arresters;

- Delivery of fiber-optic cables and cable racks for construction of fiber-optic cable routes;

- Construction and installing steel structures;

- Delivery and installing power, control and communication cables;

- Delivery and installing cable ducts;

- Manufacturing and installing electrical switchboards – communication panels, metering panels, relay panels and control switchboards;

- Commissioning fiber-optic cable routes;

- Installing and set-up digital relay protection;

- Control tests and measurements, putting all systems and equipment installed under operational use.
